Pope Clement V was known to have an immense love of wine and loved to share his passion with others. He decided to gift the Chateau Pape Clement estate located in Graves, France to a winemaker since he was unable to produce wine on his own. The estate’s first harvest was in 1252. This white blend is made up of 70% Semillon, 20% Sauvignon Blanc, 9% Sauvignon Gris, and 1% Muscadelle. It is aged in french oak barrels which lends the wine a creamy mouthfeel and a full body. You will also find notes of lemon and a hint of spice on the finish. Pair this with a rich pasta dish.
