The Cotes du Rhone Blanc consists of 50% Grenache Blanc, 35% Viognier, and 15% Clairette, sourced from 40-50 year-old low yielding vines. Hand-picked fruit is carefully sorted, then gently pressed as whole bunches and left to settle overnight at 10C. Afterward, they undergo cool fermentation in stainless steel tanks and age on fine lees for four months.
Bright pale straw colour with straw tinged edges and a watery hue. Aromas of pear and ripe Jonathan apple mix with honeysuckle and ginger spice notes. Fleshy pear, apricot and honeysuckle flavours have a luscious feel and carry good textural volume. Notions of wet stone and subtle ginger lie underneath. Finishes dry with good freshness and a well rounded, gently spice conclusion.
Drink over the next 1-2 years.
