“Mid lemon yellow. The bouquet has a soft allure, flowers and ripe white apples, the aromatics of spring giving way to early summer. A fine rich juicy white fruit, with a long aftertaste. Still mostly on the apples. Drink from 2027-2035” – June 2023

“Pretty and appealingly layered aromas consist of freshly sliced pear and apple along with hints of citrus zest, mineral reduction and a hint of ocean spray character. The rich and relatively full-bodied flavors possess fine mid-palate volume thanks to the abundant dry extract that buffers the moderately firm acid spine shaping the powerful finish where the intensity seems to build as it lingers. Good stuff and worth considering.”

The Fourchaume vineyard stretches over an uninterrupted 3 km, with the exception of an enclave on one of the Grand Cru slopes. This wine comes from this very enclave, which is known as Vaulorent. All the factors comes together here to make a fine wine: a pure nose and a voluptuous palate with the rich aromas of butter and caramel. – Guillaume Gicqueau-Michel
