Nestled in the mountains along France’s eastern border, the cool, Alpine region of Savoie is known for its sparkling and white wines, often made using grape varieties that are rarely seen outside of this area. The village of Frangy experiences a slightly warmer microclimate than many of the surrounding areas, however, creating a riper fruit expression that is unique even within Savoie. Made with the indigenous Altesse grape, this wine is medium bodied with notes of golden apple, fresh pears, tangerine blossoms and almond skins. Enjoy this one alongside Raclette or delicate freshwater fish such as perch.
