Domaine Ogereau is a certified organic French winery that is nestled in the Loire Valley. It has been family-owned for four generations and the wine itself is named for the terroir ‘spilite’. Spilite is a volcanic bassalt type rock that creates a intensity and texture in the grapes. This chenin blanc has notes of green apple, pear, orange zest and a hint of honeycomb and earthy notes. It also has a balanced acidity and surprisingly full body due to the spilite and would likely benefit from being decanted. Pair this wine with chicken dish or salad.
