This third-generation, family owned Slovenian winery came to be in 1989 when Edi and Marica Simcic bottled their first 3,000 bottles after nearly three decades working within a co-op. They are practicing organic and he land itself has been dubbed ‘Nature Blessed’ with the northern Mediterranean and the southern Alps creating a soil that is rich in minerals and salts. This red is a blend of Merlot, Cab Franc and Cab Sauv and you will discover tasting notes of dark fruits including blackberry, blueberry and dark cherry with underlying earthy notes. Pair this red blend with a mushroom dish or a tomato-based pasta.
