2023 – Nebbiolo – Langhe, Italy
G.D. Vajra, a young vineyard with rich roots. This vineyard was one of the earliest to begin organic farming in the Piemonte area. With organic practices, they focus not only on the vines but also on the fields and forests throughout the vineyard. The harvesting of the grapes is done in the middle of October. Fermentation follows for 19 days, then malolactic fermentation. The Langhe Nebbiolo ages between 8 to 14 months before bottling; aging occurs in stainless steel vats, with a minor contribution of neutral oak. The bouquet of this Nebbiolo offers rose petals, violets, and fresh berries. On the palate, there are elegant hints of orange peel, sweet spices, and red fruit with mineral undertones.
