Founded in 1950, Librandi has been a family-owned and run winery for three generations and lies in the Calabria region of Italy. Calabria is an island civilization founded by migrating Greeks in the 8th century BC when an Arcadian prince landed on the shores. He brought many winemakers along, and the Greeks were so impressed by their skills that they named the region “Entoria Tellus,” Land of Wine. The name proved accurate, as Calabria is set between two mountain peaks, steep cliffs, lakes, and pastures, creating a picturesque wine-growing region. This rose is made from 100% Gaglioppo grapes grown in four different vineyards and has tasting notes of red fruit and citrus. Pair with eggplant parmesan or grilled fish.
