The 25 acres of land that the Monchiero family estate occupies has been used to produce wine since the 13th century. It was then purchased in 1982 by Remo and Maggiorino Monchiero, whose families continue to run the winery to this day. With traditional practices and a rich history in the terroir, they created the ‘Superiore’ Barbera d’Alba. Aromatics of plum, violets, and blackberries are your introduction to this wine. With full notes of plum and blackberry on the palate, this dry, full-bodied Barbera is balanced with medium acidity and lovely tannins. It is a great match for hearty tomato dishes such as pasta and pizza.
