A white blend from the northern Dao region of Portugal, this 50% Encruzado, 35% Bical, and 15% Cerceal wine is made by Elisa Freire Lobo, the first female winemaker from her region, whose biodynamic and organic practices in maintaining the grapes produce a delightful product. Granite-heavy soil brings a gentle minerality, and large diurnal temperature shifts from the surrounding mountains help the grapes to maintain a pleasant acidity. With a backbone of lemon zest, pine needle, and green apple, this refreshing and lightly creamy wine dances well with any type of shellfish, lean fish, and cured meat.
