Winemaker Ivo Cari is known for being inventive and experimental in his practice, creating innovative, high-quality wines. Vina Cari Plavac is made using 100% Plavac Mali grapes, the primary red wine grape grown in the region. A cousin to Zinfandel, this wine has grippy tannins with notes of black plum skin and black pepper with a nice earthy undertone. Pair it wine with duck confit, hard cheeses, and rich fish dishes.
